1. No “Catching”: On floors with lippage (uneven joints), the curves allow the head to glide over the edge rather than slamming into it.
2. Better Scratch Pattern: The beveled edges create a more “feathered” scratch pattern, which makes it easier for the next grit (like a 60/80) to remove the marks from the previous step.
