PCD segments Instead of “grinding” the surface down like sandpaper, PCDs “rip and strip” the material. This removal tools do not heat up or smear sticky coatings, making them much faster for thick removals.
Two square PCD segments on a single Redi-Lock shoe provides a balance between aggression and stability. Square-shaped segments have a long leading edge. This makes them particularly effective on uneven concrete surfaces compared to round PCDs, as they are less likely to “dive” too deeply into low spots while still maintaining a sharp scraping edge.
