Common Grit Ranges:
16/20 Grit: Heavy material removal, opening up the floor, or removing thin coatings (glue, epoxy).
30/40 Grit: Standard first step for grinding and leveling.
60/80 Grit: Honing step; removes the heavy scratches from previous stages.
120/150 Grit: Fine honing; used right before moving to resin-bonded polishing stages.
