Top Applications
This tool is the “heavy lifter” for the first step of floor restoration. It is best used for:
Thick Coating Removal: Successfully removes epoxy, mastic, glue, rubbery membranes, and thick floor paint.
Avoiding “Gumming Up”: Unlike standard metal segments that heat up and melt glue (clogging the tool), the PCD chips the material away, keeping the tool clean.
Surface Leveling: The hybrid design allows for aggressive removal while leaving a relatively uniform surface compared to “naked” PCD tools.
Critical Usage Tips
[!IMPORTANT] Direction Matters: SASE grinders often have heads that spin in different directions. Using a “Right” tool on a “Left” spinning head will cause the PCDs to break or the tool to fly off.
Impact Warning: While PCDs are incredibly wear-resistant, they are brittle. Avoid hitting protruding bolts, metal joints, or large rocks in the concrete, as these can shatter the PCD inserts.
