Lavina X PCD with bar are designed for thin mil coating removal, mastic removal, and for the first steps in polishing. Beveled tooling that allows for easy ‘slide in’ action on your concrete grinders. These tools are universal to 3 pin screw systems as well. PCD’s are typically used to remove prior coatings and glue.

Fast removal of thick coating such as old glue, epoxy, paint, in particular thick resins.
Creates slip-resistant finish on granite and marble, breaks down coatings prepares surface for application of new coating overlay, enhances the combination of floor and new layer material.

Lavina 2x 1/4 PCD refers to a specific type of diamond grinding tool, a PCD (Polycrystalline Diamond) shoe/segment, designed for aggressive concrete surface preparation, particularly for stripping thick coatings like epoxy, paint, glue, and mastic, compatible with Lavina grinders and other systems like EDCO and Onfloor.
The Redi-Lock with 5×1/4 PCD and One Bar is an extremely high-production tool designed for heavy-duty coating removal. It is essentially a “high-density” scraper that offers more cutting points than the standard double-PCD models.

Aggressive PCD for Carpet Glue Removal Concrete Grinding Disc / diamond grinding shoes / grinding block is typically used in floor grinders for grinding concrete, terrazzo, or stone surfaces, removing old coatings, epoxy resins, and adhesives, as well as leveling uneven areas.
1.Standard PCD shoes usually have one or two large segments. This tool By having five separate segments, the tool has more leading edges to “catch” and lift the coating. This makes it significantly faster at removing stubborn materials.
• Reduced Friction: Smaller segments create less surface drag than one massive square segment, allowing your grinder to maintain higher RPMs even under heavy loads.
• Aggressive Shredding: It doesn’t just scrape; it effectively shreds the coating into smaller chips, which helps prevent your vacuum system from clogging with large “ribbons” of epoxy or mastic.
2. The Stabilizing Bar (The Middle Guard)
Because five PCDs are incredibly aggressive, the metal-bond bar in the middle is essential for control. The bar functions as a ‘floor’ or depth stop, preventing the five sharp PCDs from diving too deeply into the concrete—a significant risk with high-segment counts. The metal bar aids in pulling heat away from the PCD tips, helping extend the tool’s life during extended use. As the PCDs cut through the coating, the metal bar simultaneously performs a light ‘first-cut’ grind on the concrete, clearing away residue immediately.
3. Best Use for Heavy Coatings (>3mm): Multiple layers of old epoxy, thick waterproof membranes, or pool deck coatings. Difficult Adhesives: Thicker mastics or high-build glues that standard diamonds would simply smear. Uneven Concrete: The multiple points of contact allow the tool to ride over “waves” in the concrete more effectively than a single large segment.
4. Directionality: Like all PCDs, these are directional. You must verify if your machine needs Clockwise (CW) or Counter-Clockwise (CCW) rotation.
